I have had my tongue peirced for over 10 years now. I took it out for a half an hour and it closed up on me. Now the idiot that I was, i re-did the peircing myself. DO NOT SUGGEST THIS!!! It was the most painful thing I have ever done. I now just have a spacer in until I am 100% confident I want it out.
I had my nipple pierced for awhile too. The only problem was that the piercing was pushing itself out. I either had to take it out or it was going to push itself right through my nipple. I opted for the first.
