I had this sushi dinner when I was in a trip in Santa Fe, New Mexico. I think this big sushi dish was pretty, that certainly increased my appetite just by looking at the colourful seafood and how they were arranged on the plate.
However, I must say that the sushi in this restaurant (or some other restaurants I visited in the U.S.) included some American culture in it, as I remember in the menu there were sushi called California roll (sushi rice roll coated with a lot of crap eggs) and Mexican Special (can't remember how it was like).
My Japanese classmate would find it funny and laugh about American or European style sushi, but yet they enjoy these foreign-made sushi a lot. It's nice to see the culture exchange through all those yummy food.
In case someone would wonder, one example of European-style sushi was one kind of maki sushi where the ingredient was Mozzarella cheese, cucumber, and egg. I tried once. It was yummy too.
