Quick Question: このように～たり～たりを使ってもいいですか？ -

I know that ～たり～たり is for listing verbs but as this structure also implies など is is alright to use it without listing any verbs?
e.g. 少し気分がいいときは、下の妹と遊んだりします。
I want to imply that I sometimes do other activities when I am feeling happy, other than playing with my younger sister.
Don't let pride get in the way of learning...there's always more to learn.
