I recently have become aware of this 'phenomenon' of people remembering things happening in different years or in a certain way other than what is widely accepted. Some of the things that come up frequently are things that were before I was born but I share one common "happening". There's only a few websites forums (reddit, mandelaeffect.com, abovetopsecret and a few others) have discussed this. So to me it seems like a concentrated group of people have reported remembering things differently. I'll list the most common ones and I wish to see what other people outside those open forum think about this.
MAIN TOPICS DISCUSSED:
1- Nelson Mandela died in prison sometime in the 80s
2-BerenstEIN / BerenstAIN Bears
3-Australia/ New Zealand/ Sri Lanka moving around. Also, where the fuck did Andorra come from??
4-Tank Man was killed in Tienanmen Square 1989
5-Certain rather famous/well known actors/actresses/persons dying only to find out they are alive and well. Even thought they remember seeing/reading news about their death. (some well before hoaxes were a thing)
6- 52 states in the U.S (FYI its 50)
7-DilemNA/DilemMA
8-Billy Graham’s funeral on TV.
9-Chartreuse being a reddish/purple/magenta/pink color
10-Fidel Castro dying
The only one I can say has me confused is New Zealand. Had you asked me, before I looked at Google earth, where NZ was I would've answered confidently and said that it was NE of Australia. And now it looks weird to me in the SE corner.
