the stles works better with cowboy bebop; and the title make more sence with the rest of the anime.
i think the story and characters are better developed in Bebop too
this site has a good synopsis of the series and the film, and a pretty good stills gallery.
one thing i must say is that, like samurai champloo the english dubs are a good quality, so it doesnt matter what language you watch it in (Japanese / english)
