Akemi Nakamura

Speaking of Akemi,is that a guy's name or a girl's name? Cause I named my male character Akemi.. I was told that Akemi was guy's name but seen alot of female characters with that name.....

Akishino
and
Takahiro

Thanks.
Akemi = ah-keh-mi
Nakamura = nah-kah-moo-ra
Akishino = ah-kee-shee-no
Takahiro = tah-kah-hee-ro

You mean like that?

And yes, Akemi is in most cases a girl's name, but it depends largely on which kanji you use to spell out the name; if you use the kanji which Debezo has described, then it would indeed be masculine.
