I think the common word used to mean happiness in Japanese is "shiawase." If you want to say that "I am happy" in Japanese, however, you would use "ureshii."

As for names that mean happiness, here are a few:

Female
Sachiko - Happy Child
Sanyu - Happiness (unisex)
Miyuki - Beautiful Happiness
Yukiko - Happy Child

Male
Yukio - Happy man
Toshiyuki - Alert and happy
Nobuyuki - Faithful happiness
Sanyu - Happiness (unisex)

Note: The meaning of these names depend largely on the kanji used. For example, Yukiko can also mean "Snow child" if the kanji for "snow," which also reads as "yuki" is used instead.
