Grave...i agree...it's too depressing and maybe disturbing for younger viewers but i'm kind of expecting that matured viewers would appreciate it for being semi-historical...during the early post-war period of Japan, orphaned kids may have or could have experienced those kind of trajic things...

Ocean...it's a coming of age film centered around an ordinary high school male student, his best friend and a girl, a reserved outcast who has caught the eyes of both friends. While bounds of friendship are tested, unlikely relationships grow and flourish in this made for television movie. Younger viewers might not like it for it's virtually devoid of action like sword-slashing and gun-slinging...it's not a fantastic fairytale adventure or a metaphorical epic on man's relationship with nature. Instead, it's exactly what it seems to be: a relatively simple story about a boy, a girl and a romance that develops out of nowhere. This is really Ocean Waves' most endearing quality; the characters possess genuine human feelings...

Ninja Scroll...yeah, WONDERFUL movie indeed...Before Ruruoni Kenshin, there was Ninja Scroll..
