As you might already know, "YO" means positive, plus or active while "IN" means negative, minus or passive. From the musical point of view, "YO" is major and "IN" is minor.

"YO-SENPO:scale" is actually major pentatonic scale. "IN" scale is more complicated. I have heard there are four types of "IN" scale I really don't know well.
