I'm going to keep my suggestions to what is current-
Seirei no moribito- action\ drama that concentrates on characters (my current favourite)
Death Note- horror\thriller that concentrates on plot (low on action)
Black Lagoon- action\ thriller that concentrates on the action (great if you have low attention span)
you are greater than the sum of your plushies
