Shippuden's the second season and just came out fairly recently.

I can;t rly imagine what it'd be like for a beginner but it'd be harder to understand what they're on about if you haven;t watched the second season. Kind of like fast forwarding a film to half way and only watching from there. So yeh watch from the beginning.

I personally got sick of the fillers (which were only there because the anime was catching up to the manga or something) so you can skip those if you want. They start at roughly episode 180? My memory fails me. You can watch the fillers if you want though, i'll admit some chains were guid but the majority made me want to throw my computer across the room.
