For the third and final time, in the Anime she is portrayed as having a taste for dolls which are not normal (with broken limbs and eye patches etc) and wearing black yet intriguing clothing, not because she wants to be with the IN Goth crowd, but BECAUSE of the trauma which was caused her over her parents' murder. This is shown when she is being introduced in the Anime for the first time.

Honestly, I really dont remember the manga stating her likenesses for dressing or collecting being an after affect of her parents death. So that's merely your opinion.

Misa is just nauseating. I appreciate the fact that she is madly in love with Light, and looks up to him as a savior. But just the fact that she doesn't have any opinion of her own, or if she does it doesn't matter because she does EVERYTHING Light tells her to anyway. No wonder he doesn't respect Misa!! I absolutely love my husband, no doubt about it!! But, that'd be the day I do EVERYTHING he tells me too. Love is a partnership, not a dictatorship. It pisses me off to see women let their every move be dictated by a man or for love. Those types of relationship have no foundation, and never last. Poor stupid Misa never had a chance!
