Maison Ikkoku - I generally hate romance and not a big fan of comedy but I liked this series (mainly 'cos I used to be a hard up single student myself), again with many long series I gave up on about volume 10 with the manga as it was getting repetitive and I knew how it would end anyway.

Couldn't be bothered with Inu Yasha, but loved the Mermaid series (as a manga). I kind of liked the anime but the monsters were more comedy than horror, though I'd highly recommend it anyway.
I never thought her work was that repetative but since a lot of people do, Im going to write the folowing assuming that you do...

I never thought of Ranma as very adult. Yes, it was repetative. But I never care about any of that. The plot was irelavent to me. I just liked the humor. If it can make me laugh, then good by me. So yea I do LOVE ranma.

Maison Ikkoku is SO funny Its unbearable. Its probably her most grown up manga. I love comedy, but not romance, unless it goes a long with comedy or action. Maison Ikkoku is probably the only shojou manga I can stand to read. If you already read the first 10 even if it did get repetative I think its worth it to finish just 5 more.

Mermaid saga is amazing. I never saw either the anime or manga as horror. I know they are suposed to be horror but they seem more action/drama to me.

I highly recomend InuYasha. Its my favorite of her work. Its much less adult then Maison Ikkoku in terms of story and plot, but in terms of content InuYasha has the most of violants, and gore, (there is a lot of nudity too but Im not sure if it can compete with ranma or mermaid in terms of nudity) Anyway I love the characters, storys, humour, violants, etc.

She rights some nice short storys, mostly slice of life, some humour, also alot of horror, (she is actualy really good at horror if she just tried it more)
