to me they just look like magnified versions of north american trailer trash.
just because theyre japanese doesnt make it any more attractive to me personally.

its that hyper fake-tan (or real tan- hello melanoma!) bleached hair look that just screams of the discount bin in your local walmart.
no offense to any fans of the style- its just what i see when i look at the ganguro gals.

i wonder what started that style actually.
socially it doesnt make a ton of sense as far as emphasizing natural desirable qualities of a person. so is it just about extremes? about turning heads with striving to be as alien as possible???
