There's nothing wrong with being gay and, nonot all Japanese are gay. There are people with same sex preferences in every country. To understand more about male Japanese culture and how they are viewed, I suggest this book (I just bought it myself) "Beauty Up" by Laura Miller. Its about changing Japanese body aesthetics. They have chapters about male standarts of beauty and what seems beautiful or not in both male and female
