Japanese Supermodel Sayoko Yamaguchi Dies -

Japan's first ever supermodel, Sayoko Yamaguchi (山口小夜子), died at the age of 57 on August 14, 2007.
Yamaguchi appeared at Paris Fashion Week for the first time in 1972, and went on to get worldwide acclaim and fame while modeling for some of the most famous Japanese fashion brands of her era.
