Now that may not sound so bad, but there's also this thing called soulfire. It represents your life. This soulfire will steadily decrease if you walk around
and fight enemies for a long time. Shooting your Sorcerer's Ring will also
take away Soulfire. To recover soulfire, you have to light up these
candlesticks that look like pots with your Sorcerer's Ring or fight enemies
in under 20 seconds. However, if you examine certain candlesticks, they might have some extra, negative, effects, like lowering your soulfire faster, for instance.
Each floor can have certain effects on the character as well. Oh, and did I mention that there are 15 levels? ^_^;;; And on the 10th floor, you fight a boss. Then on the 15th, you fight another boss. The boss at the 15th level is basically the same as Abyssion... Or so I'm told, never reached that point.
i know that if you can defeat Abyssion, Niflheim's boss battles aren't that hard, what's hard is that it's sooo long and really hard to get to the where the bosses are, especially there aren't ANY save points or anything.

Oh yes, I did do the book. I got confused by the name. Not only is there 15 levels and no saves, but you need 1000 SoulFire points before you get to the last floor or you lose.
The last boss will be a easy if you beat Abyssion and got all the Devil Arms...wait, you may not be able to use the devil arms. I don't remember...When you beat it, you have the option to destroy the book or leave it alone so you can go back later and do training by fighting the enemies. But it's best to destroy it and be done with it.

Yes, I remember there was one that was really hard to beat. My fighters did little damage to it. I think only Holy moves/ ligth magic worked on it. I remember it had like 4 arms and 4 swords.
