It depends on the show for me.
Examples would be InuYasha and Black Cat
InuYasha the show [insert vulgar language], but I think the manga is okay. It's more bearable.
With Black Cat, I can't stand the manga's art style >< But I love the anime, it's one of my favorites for sure.
So it kinda depends...
