They started releasing Phantasia in 2004.

I've been trying to get my hands on the other games for a long time now... But from what I've learned you can't get Phantasia (the first game, but you can get the GBA remake), or Tales of Destiny 2 - at least, the realTales of Destiny 2. When Tales of Eternia was released in North America, they renamed it "Tales of Destiny 2" because of some copyright infringement issue regarding the name "Eternia." I haven't found a decently priced Tales of Destiny ($45...T_T), and the same goes for Tales of Eternia (aka Tales of Destiny 2...for +$50!)

wow, I am surprised. You think that those games would be cheap by now but hard to find...Even if you get them and all the games I said, it'll take you a millenia to beat them....lol but that is really cool. I just thought that the Tales series was your average popular game, I didn't know that they were THIS popular, it is actually surprising...Do you know which Tales game/OVA has been the most successful??
