I'm not sure its really dark poetry as much as it is wierd poetry...But here I go >_< (Non-ryhming poem)
A Loud Silence (If Only Sound Would Come)
A lost relic, in time and in life, long denounced by its people, a world of little to no value, where only ghosts may linger in there past glory, for when they return to there time, those ghosts are in fact only human. The past still lingers in this place, though its air of glory and followers of its ideals have vanished without a trace, spread throughout this giant land, a song to be sung on another occasion. And as the moon and stars cross over the sky, only the loud silence can be sensed, not heard, for what is left in this place to hear? I know not what the commonplace thought is, and that is why I write, to be different, and to express it in a place where common is unheard of, if only a sound would come. Is this poetry? Is this prayer? Or is this what is left of this place? I sing a song that no one will hear. If only the song could have been heard by those who loved this place, if only they too remained here, a ghost to linger in there former glory, to spread there hearts in hopes of finding there wings, only to fall upon the earth once more, yet again only a human, then they too could sing this song. Yet they do not remain, and thus cannot sing, for only the loud silence can be sensed. If only a sound would come just once more, maybe, I would be saved.
