Wow your world must've exploded around you if you really loved him a lot.
I think you should just stay away from him and not lose your pride and let him apologise if he cares for you at all. If not, then he doesn't deserve you and you are better off without his sorry ass.
It is difficult to do but somehow you can't let yourself be thrown into a depressive state of insecurity and helplessness.
