I think a story needs to find it's own length and needs to tie up its loose ends before being finished. Unfortunately, it seems many series are continued past their best before date so as to wring as much cash out of them as possible. (I'm beginning to feel like I've seen the current episodes Bleach back around episode 20 - 25). I can handle well structured length but loose wandering about minor plot threads gets annoying. What really bothers me the most, though, are series that end without a nice tidy up of introduced plot items. (Fruits Baskets and Moon Phase which I already ranted about in another thread)
