I didnt study kanji yet, but from what 've seen they are a bit complicated, not only because of the number of them but because of their diferente meanings and pronunciation.
But for me the hard part is to find a teacher near by or print books.. i mean the internet as lots of things but lets face it, studying requires exercices and concentration, and i find a bit tiresome reading over and over on a computer screen.
The solution i found was to print lessons, but still its har to find grammar exercices.
