No, it's not like that at all. Sure, I've always wondered why people liked that Hinder song, but that has nothing to do with yaoi manga...or yuri for that matter (which is also awesome).
Girls like yaoi due to hot bishies making out...and seeing normal relationships gets kind of run-of-the-mill. Also, it's a type of forbidden love making it more exciting and angsty. And girls don't like competing with other girls...and you might not think that has anything to do with manga, but somehow that does.
