Battle Royale, Princess Mononoke I'd say are my favourites. Grave of the Fireflies really touched me and I remember it well. Don't think I could watch it again in the same way so it just misses out as being one of my faves.

I saw Zatoichi recently and thought that was cool! Letters from Iwo Jima, although technically it's an American movie, I count it as a Japanese movie too and I thought that was touching.
