You've come to the right place.
To start learning Japanese, you need to first learn Hiragana and Katakana. They are the phonetic writing systems that are used in Japanese. Learning those two syllabaries only has to take about 2 weeks if you work hard enough. Once you're done with that, order yourself a good textbook and get started. That's how I did it.
