My experiences on Japanese trains have been quite satisfactory, I've never had to deal with riff-raff disrupting me/others with their loud music and verbal diarrhoea like I have in Australia. The only mild unpleasantry that I am certain to encounter on every trip is being the subject of interest to some fellow commuters - certainly more at times when I have to stand up in a crowded carriage and my 6'3" frame contrasts ever so greatly with the backdrop of Japanese >_<
