Maybe the OP is a straight female and is curious as to why a man would cheat on his wife/girlfriend. I don't find anything sexist about it. It'd be the same as a straight man asking why a woman would cheat on her husband/boyfriend, since he'd want some input and reasons as to why.

As for why men cheat, the only reason I keep coming across is the whole sex thing. If they're not getting satisfied enough, they'll wander. Of course, that's a stereotypical answer. There are some who might cheat because they just no longer love the person that they're with.

Overall, no matter how you look at it, a person who cheats is a very selfish person. Personally, if I'm in a relationship with a person, I'd rather the guy tell me he is no longer interested in me, instead of his sneaking around and cheating on me, and I find out through a third party. Seems that would be more hurtful.
