Need some advice - 01-29-2008, 04:00 AM

Hello. I am from Germany and just finished my Master's degree in Chinese Literature in Taiwan. After Graduation I am now facing the decission what to do after university. I really don't want to stay in Taiwan anymore because the world is too small here. I lalready lived here for 8 years.

But as I got used to live in East-asia and I made many friends here, I would like to stay here in the region. Considering work my first choice would be Japan.

I started to learn Japanese about two years ago and participated in the JLPT level 2 exam last december, which means I didn't recieve the grades yet. I think I am able to make myself understood in Japanese but still far away from fluent.

I speak Mandarin very good though. That's why I do not consider to go to China because I could clearly understand what people there were talking about me when I was around alone on the streets or using subways.

As English isn't my native language, I think it won't be easy to start as an English teacher and the market for German language teachers seems to be really small.

I already know Ecentral but the Question is, is it possible to get a job in the media in Japan or in the IT sector as entry-level job seeker? Which would be the best way to get into it?
