No, all you have to do is get to a train station, get on the local train that will take you to Miyajima-guchi station, and the ferry is right next to that station. It's not too hard, as there is a ton of public transport in Japan, such as cable cars, buses, taxis, etc. Just ask the locals for help if you need it, I know the World Friendship Center has English-speaking staff, the other might as well.
