Lily came to me without a name
And when I gave her one I lost the day:
I lost the time inside, fire and play.
And when I told her I was in the horse,
She laughed out loud and said, Of course!
Made me mad, but she was on the floor.
And she was like the day she took away,
Like two eternal lines we met one day,
And for the moment, it was fire and play.

And I could hear the sound of music play
And everything was going to be okay,
'til Lily went away.

Now I go on but look behind,
And Lily's getting awfully hard to find.
Now I live on with love behind;
I'm not ashamed she was a love of mine.
