For an up and coming translator, this is a great opportunity.
For one, you have a built-in audience in Matt's group, unlike if you just picked up a book off a shelf and translated it, and it looks good on a portfolio to have a novel under your belt, as it shows dedication and consistency.
If translation is something you are considering, I'd give this a shot.
