Seinen series are usually geared towards adult males, and usually have a lot of fan service. Of course not all Seinen series have a lot of fan service, just seems that way. One series that comes to mind as being a Seinen series is Chobits.
Jousei works are those aimed at adult women or teenage girls. They usually deal with everyday life things and is more realistic compared to shojo manga. A few series that come to mind for me, is Gokusen, Hachimitsu to Kurooba (Honey and Clover), and Kimi wa Pet (My Pet), which is known here in the states as Tramps Like Us.
