In regards to the topic, if the behavior of US troops is such as described, I agree that something certainly needs to be done about it, although something such as withdrawal is probably out of the question for a number of reasons in the minds of most. It is unacceptable for any military body to behave in this manner in another country. Sadly it has been a characteristic of most military bodies to behave in such a fashion--at least inasmuch as they can get away with--when stationed in other countries, not simply the United States. Hopefully modern thought and politics will help to curb this behavior better than past precedent.
Unfortunately deployment does not function, and mostly could not afford to function, based on simple petty preferences of troops who do or do not want to be somewhere.
I only hope that this thread does not deteriorate into a US-bashing topic.

Agreed. Not just the U.S. But it's sort of like how people think Britney Spears is the worst mom in the world simply because she's so popular. I'd take Britney Spears over Andrea Yates any day
It'll defiantly turn into another U.S bashing thread. Stereotyping of all U.S citizens.
I had no idea I was such a bad person and that all my hard anti-war work was for nothing until I joined this forum! - Sarcasm-
