We have a memorial garden for the interned Japanese at my college. There are currently two very young sakura trees there. The flowers bloomed about two weeks ago, and they were quite pink until sometime last week (spring break for me). Today when I looked, the flowers were totally white. Both trees are about my height (5'10") at present, and no thicker around than two of my fingers.
I'm kinda bumbed that I'll be transfering out of that school long before those two trees are big enough to offer a good show in the spring time
