Working Holiday Visa - A visa where you main intention should be for visiting the country but you may work to help afford your travels in the country.

Japan has, from my understanding, no limit on the number of hours you can work so effectively you can, one you have the visa, stay and work in just the one place. I believe Australia in comparison has a limit of no more than 3 months in one job for the 1 year visa. This may have changed as it was some years ago.
