You could just go to a US university and do an exchange that way. It might be a bit cheaper that way, or you could go through BCA. It's an exchange program. I was looking into this awhile ago, but I was ineligible since I wasn't a traditional student.

The only University for this is Hokusei Gakuen University, which is in Sapporo, Hokkaido. I've always wanted to go there, which is why I was so interested in this particular one.

Does your family take trips every year by chance out of the country? If so, maybe you can suggest a family trip (if it's affordable) to Japan.
