I'm inclined to agree with that. This whole thing is just too disappointing.

China's Tibet policy is self-contradictory.

China has a stated goal of establishing a Harmonious Society (和諧社会). That should also include Tibet and the people living there, right? Beating and killing them should not be allowed in such a society.

Beijing's language is getting increasingly offensive. It reminds me of the recent North Korean posture vis-a-vis the South Koreans before the presidential and general elections in ROK. The North Korean leaders threatened a "total war" if the conservative parties that are critical of the North regime have won. (They did.) Yet they often say to the South, "Let's reunite the peninsula!"

I'm not a South Korean, but I do have a problem with this North Korea's inter-Korean policy. Because the South Koreans are our neighbors. What does Pyongyang want? Total war? Peaceful reunification? Which one? It's scare tactics and blame shifting. I'm afraind Beijing is doing it too.

There are Tibetans living in Japan, together with us. Are we supposed to sit back, watch their loved ones getting killed in their homeland, keep our mouths shut, and then enjoy the Olympics, as if nothing happened? I can't do that. If the Han Chinese don't understand this sentiment, I say they are the ones who are deluded and brainwashed.
