160 miles is nothing! You can get there in 3 hours by car! So from my point of view, distance isn't the case here, if you were truly in love with that guy I don't think you'd regard 160 miles as being an impediment to your relationship with him.
First of all, you need to figure out what your feelings are towards him, which won't be possible until you get to know him fully, and this won't happen unless you drag your arse all the way to LA
and you have to do it
often.
But honestly, if I liked a guy who lived 3 hours from my current residence, I wouldn't even think about giving it up! Just to cheer you up a little, there's someone I think I could have a wonderful relationship with, who lives about 5343 miles away from where I live... and well, I've pretty much lost all hope in it happening, but in your case, 160 miles is totally affordable
