Tell me what you base that claim on? Numerous studies have been done that show Wikipedia has the same number of mistakes in it as real, printed encyclopedias (such as Britannica) have. Furthermore, there are thousands of volunteers on Wikipedia who spend their time fact-checking and proofreading information. Many of them go to great lengths to make sure all information posted on Wikipedia has a citation to back up the information. It's true someone can go in and write whatever they want on Wikipedia, but it is almost always erased and corrected within a matter of minutes (depending on the article).
