Im in Ueno at the moment and I like it allot. Some top places within walking distance and a excellent selection of train lines right on my door. Nezu to Harajuku is about 15-20 min train ride and that line is not as crowded as the Yamanote, also the same is true getting to Shiinjuku via okachimachi.
I walked to the Tokyo dome today, about a 20 min walk from Ueno, Thunder Dolphin is a ****ing good ride. I nearly had a heart attack followed by having my head nearly ripped from my body. Cool coaster.
