I liked both movies fine for what they are. Just as long as I don't compare it to the manga I'm fine and treat as an entirely different medium completely works.
I'm interested in the spin-off movie that came out in February over there.
As for the dubbed first movie, I might go see it. I know one person who wants to see it since she's never seen it subbed.
