I guess that your question "how can someone loose interest...?" was more of a rhetoric question (as I interpret it but I may be interpreting wrong..) but I bothered still to answer the question just to find myself in business. so I also added that my answer may not interest you.. uhmm yeah :|

I have no clue what they were thinking when making the vid. but then again .. looking at their history .. they have a tendency towards ... huh-ish vids (Butterfly FX for example.. or even 2nd skin O.o)
that song is ranking 1st in my last.fm for something heh? ;D
