As everyone is saying about 'holding' the hashi wrong i think thats not true. As in american tradition we have a specific way of holding the utensiles. But actually there are 2 main ways people hold them. English, and American. For the hashi im sure that there are more than one 'tradtional' ways to hold them. me i put the one of the sticks in between my thumb and pointer, while pushing against it with my middle finger the i hold the other one with the pointer and thumb tips. but anywho i have like a set of 6 black ivory hashi. I carry a set with all the time. Im weird and always find ways to use them with western style food. lol. I even some how figured a way of 'cutting' with them.
