PS3 seem to have failed miserably. They are terribly over-priced, and everyone has an Xbox which has the same games a PS3 has. The only difference is it has blu-ray, which I personally don't give a damn about.

So what if PS3 is doing better than 360 in Europe? Globally it is doing the worst out of the new gen consoles.

Is the playstation ever at the top? Nope. So maybe in Europe it's doing better than Xbox 360, big wow, but the rest of the world isn't buying it.

If you want to factor in lauch dates the PS3 is second. The wii sells like crack theres no denying but the wii is something different from the 360 and PS3, it's of no threat to them. The 360 his a hit in NA, other than that it's not that exciting in terms of pure sales.

Though I don't know why you're trying to bring up an irrelevant argument like this. It doesn't really mean anything. The Wii isn't a direct competition to the others and the 360 has been out an entire year longer than both of them, naturally it's going to have better sales.

Yes, Smash bros can carry a console. It sold over 2.3 million in the first month of sales.

I (probably) said this earlier in the thread. You cannot compare PS3 and Wii and argue which is better. Both are aiming to do completely different things. The wii is targeted heavily at casual gaming. It's not focusing on online either. It's supposed to be something anyone can pick up and play and nintendo has achieved that. The massive amounts of people aren't the same people who bought games last generation. There's no contest between the two and quite frankly they coexist together.

Again, stop brining sales figures into this. The people who buy the wii are not from the same market that buy the PS3. The PS3 is brought by video/audiophiles and gamers. The Wii is bought by a LOT more demographics. Moms, old people, families, retirement centers, hopitals. It's not the same group of people so saying one is selling more, therefore it's winnning.

I still rpefer the PS3. I use it every day even if it's not for games. I <3 my pink entertainment hub.

I'd get a Wii but I don't have the money to invest right now. Smash Bros is really the only game I'd be going for though, to be honest. Twilight princess wasn't that thrilling. It felt like ocarina of time with some different controls.

Anyway, I'm only in work on OT so iI'm going now.
