Biodiesel and Coal - 05-23-2008, 03:30 PM

'The train has already left the station' fyi the US (dept of energy) has already mandated that by 2015 the US will have to reduce it's use of fossil fuels by 20%. The biodiesel industry is dependent on coal and lots of water as far back as late 06' a nexus of Coal Industry and Government officials have devised a way to bring back the sagging fortunes of the coal industry. Initially, Bunning and presidential hopeful Sen. Barack Obama, D-Ill., coauthored the Coal-to-Liquid Fuels Promotion Act of 2007 and introduced it to the Senate in January. The majority of biodiesel plants have or will incorporate coal and massive amounts of public water. The Coal industrys track record if you visit coal minning states such as Kentucky (Appalachian mountains ) are not environmentally friendly unless polluting and levelling the landscape so it looks like a moonscape. Biodiesel is already subsidized by the US taxpayer 1$ one dollar per gallon ontop of this will be a CTL act that will
in effect subsidize the US Coal industry and its history of disregard to the environment.
