True.
However looking at retail prices for volumes it's no wonder (aside from sheer convenience and free) fans are reluctant to buy. I've seen Deathnote (as an example) Volume 2 going for about $35. Four episides for $35? It's a single DVD. You can get Blu-Rays for cheaper than that. Granted that was at Sunrise, in Ontario. Sunrise tends to price mark a little however by only a few dollars. A volume should be no more than $20 considering what you actually get with it.
The only Anime i've bought is the Akira movie, and two Broly movies on their double feature Blu-Ray release. (Which I think off Amazon was only like $22)
