I use my fingers everytime I eat sushi. That's how many people eat it here in Tokyo, particularly those who are known to be sushi-lovers.

The interesting tendency, though, is that the cheaper the sushi bar, the more diners use chopsticks. And because everyone is aware of this tendency,　you can look pretty unrefined if you use chopsticks at more expensive places. This is about sushi only, not other kinds of food.
