The show's name is an english. But obviously not all Japanese speak or read english. In Japanese they don't have the the hiragana(letters more or less) to spell it exactly the same. Also the pronunciation of 'one piece' would sound nothing like it should to an english speaker if read by a Japanese speaker (One Piece= Oh-ne Pee-eh-se).
Wan Pisu isn't really a translation as much as it's putting an accent on it to make it easier on a Japanese speakers ear. I hope that helps.
