I actually found that bit quite funny. I`d feel a whole lot more threatened if his Japanese didn`t sound so downright unnatural. 愚か is an adjective - not a noun. To add - 「源」ってなんぞや～泉の話じゃないでしょうが。 およびの前に「な」っておかしいですよぉ などなど
I usually don`t comment on someone`s Japanese skill, as no one is perfect and we all make mistakes. However, you were trying to show off, so I don`t think that really applies.
Just admit you were wrong, and that you thought you could make yourself look cool by pulling some Japanese spiel out of your hat.
